To upgrade from Silver to Gold, or Silver or Gold to Platinum – you simply need to purchase the upgrade package from our website. Because our Silver, Gold and Platinum Editions are separate editions, we need to manually generate a new edition upon receiving your order and it can take up to 1 business day to process.
Once you have received your new download and license key, you simply have to deactivate and DELETE your previous Edition and then:
Install and activate the new Edition via the normal instructions. If you do not deactivate and delete the previous edition, it can cause the install to become corrupt and tables to not be made for the new features.
NOTE: We strongly recommend that you backup your database and wordpress installation and also do this first on a development server and test all your settings and results. Additionally, when doing this with a live raffle, this can create adverse effects if you change settings on that raffle. While the all editions use the same DB for the settings, the Gold and Platinum editions have additional functionality that has more information so certain ticket information can get confused. We have tried to test for all circumstances, but the amount of customers who upgrade from Silver to Gold or Platinum with a live raffle is very small and we cannot predict how everyone uses our plugin. We simply do not have enough real data to make sure everything will transition perfectly. If you have issues, open a support ticket and we will do our best to help you.
